On Saturday, June 25, police said that Henry Cerquette was walking along the 10800 block of Liberty Road near Allen Road in Baltimore County when he was struck by a 2020 Toyota Highlander that left the roadway.

The investigation into the crash determined that the driver of the Highlander - whose name was not released - lost control of the vehicle, struck Cerquette, and an occupied 2017 Chevy Spark before coming to rest under a tree.

Cerquette was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. The drivers of the Highlander and Chevy were both transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by members of the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team.
